Recipes and meal prep
Log the portion you ate from the batch you cooked
A recipe can describe a whole pot, tray, or batch. Speed Macros lets you save the ingredients and, if you want more precise portions, add the finished batch weight and log the grams or ounces served.
Save the whole recipe once
Create a saved recipe from its ingredients and amounts. The recipe keeps the batch nutrition together, so you can reuse it instead of entering the same ingredients every time you cook.
Weigh the finished batch
After cooking, weigh the food without the container and add that finished weight to the recipe. When you serve a portion, enter the amount you ate; Speed Macros scales the batch values by that portion's share of the total weight.
Use an estimate when there is no scale
Finished batch weight is optional. You can still log a fraction of a saved recipe when you do not have a measured total. Weighing the batch and serving gives a clearer portion basis, but ingredient labels and nutrition estimates can still be incomplete.
